A hearing is set for Tuesday in federal court to determine whether a Lubbock terrorism suspect is mentally competent to stand trial.

U.S. District Judge Sam Cummings ordered 21-year-old Khalid Aldawsari to undergo a mental health exam at the federal detention center in Springfield, Missouri.

Those results are in, according to court documents. The Saudi-born college student was arrested in February 2011 on a charge of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. Last week Judge Cummings denied Aldawsari's defense team's motions to disclose and suppress evidence investigators obtained through the foreign intelligence surveillance act.
