A three-year-old boy is hospitalized and his mother's boyfriend is jailed on a charge of injury to a child. 20-year-old Trenard Nunley is accused of placing the youngster into scalding bathwater Sunday.According to police reports, paramedics told investigators the child had second and third degree burns from his waist to the tops of his feet. Reports state nurses told police the boy said Nunley had dipped him into hot bath water and had hit him in the face with a chair.
Police report the child's mother said she tried to treat her son's burns when she got home from work Sunday, then called for EMS Monday morning when his injuries looked worse.
