Join Ballet Lubbock for a special narrated video presentation of The Nutcracker this December. This year’s Nutcracker special will combine comedic and heartwarming narration and some of Ballet Lubbock’s greatest historical performances.

“It was really important that we find a way to keep the Nutcracker tradition alive, so although this year’s presentation could not be a live production, it gave us an opportunity to create something new while revisiting some of our favorite Nutcracker performances of past years,” said Nicholas Dragga, executive director for Ballet Lubbock.

The Nutcracker special will be available to stream beginning December 11 through the end of the year. Ballet Lubbock has also partnered with local drive-in, Stars & Stripes Drive-In Theatre, for a one-night screening event on Friday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m.

“By providing two ways to watch, we’re able to give people a chance to experience this year’s Nutcracker however they’re most comfortable, whether that’s in your living room or under the stars at the drive-in,” Dragga said.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at balletlubbock.org. Drive-in tickets must be purchased in advance.

Ballet Lubbock will also be safely opening their Nutcracker Souvenir Market for interested shoppers. The Market will be open by appointment on Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the current Ballet Lubbock studio and will strictly follow all facility and local health and safety guidelines.
