Police identify victim in deadly pedestrian crash

LUBBOCK, Texas (KJTV) - Lubbock Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened just after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the 100 block of 66th Street.

Police say 44-year-old Daniel Saiz was standing along the south side of 66th Street, just east of I-17, when a pickup crashed into him. The investigation revealed Saiz walked in front of the pickup.

Saiz was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but later died.

This investigation into this crash is ongoing.
