WEST POINT, Mississippi – No. 20 Texas Tech finished in 10th place at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship at 6-over-par following the conclusion of the weather-delayed final round on Sunday at the Old Waverly Golf Club.

The Red Raiders finished the three-day event with a 290-288-292 – 870 team score, while No. 13 Georgia won the event at 20-under followed by No. 46 Mississippi State and No. 9 Texas A&M which tied for second at 10-under. No. 10 Vanderbilt and NO. 21 Tennessee tied for fourth at 3-under.

Garrett Martin led the Red Raiders in the tournament where he completed his final round with a 1-over 73 in a tournament where he carded 71-73-73 – 217 which put him in 27th individually. Kyle Hogan shot 70-72-76 – 218 with 13 birdies and an eagle during the weekend. A sophomore from San Antonio, Martin had three birdies in his final round and nine for the weekend. Hogan eagled on the par 5, 513 yard No. 2 hole on the course in his final round but would shoot 4-over on the final day. Hogan finished 33rd.

Ludvig Aberg finished the tournament at 4-over after shooting 74-72-74 – 220 over the past three days, finishing at 2-over in the final round with three birdies, three bogeys and a double. Andy Lopez closed strong at 2-under on Sunday but would finish the tournament at 8-over with a 75-79-70 – 224. Lopez recorded his low round for the weekend with four birdies and only two bogeys. Aberg finished 45th overall and Lopez 64th. Baard Skogen finished at 9-over at 79-71-75 – 225 which put him in 68th for the event.

Texas A&M's Sam Bennett won the tournament at 11-under after posting 69-66-70 – 205 followed by Eli Scott (Georgia) who finished at 9-under and third-place finisher Tyson Reeder (Arkansas) at 8-under.

Texas Tech will continue its spring schedule with its final in-state tournament with a trip to College Station from April 9-11 at the Aggie Invitational which will be played at The Traditions Golf Club. The final spring tournament is at the Thunderbird Collegiate (April 16-17) in Phoenix, Arizona which leads into the Big 12 Championship from April 26-28 at Prairie Dunes Golf Club in Hutchinson, Kansas.
