A very cold morning with single digit wind chill temperatures. Any liquid refroze overnight with some icy spot on the roads, parking lots, and sidewalks. Still plan for extra time to get to a destination this morning and drive slower than the speed limit. Lower visibility with freezing fog may develop in our area in the earlier morning hours.
TODAY: Temperatures will take time to warm out of these teens, with 30s by noon. High near 44, sunny with a light west/southwest wind 5-12mph. Temperatures nearing 50 where less snow fell to our northern counties.
TONIGHT: Very cold again with teens and 20s with a clear sky.
WEDNESDAY: We will be nearing seasonal highs with 50s returning for the area. Southwest wind will become breezy during the afternoon 10-18mph.
EXTENDED: There as small signs of more precipitation for parts of the area late Saturday/ early Sunday, then into the start of next week. Expect more clouds than precipitation. Wind speeds pick up through early Thursday with the passage of a dry cold front that will drop us down to the 40s and low 50s to end this week.
