THIS AFTERNOON: It's sunny but cold. And it's colder where the heavier snow fell yesterday, generally Lubbock and points south. We'll see the snow's influence on the temperature diminish next few days, as it melts, but probably still a little bit cooler tomorrow in this area.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold. The temperature forecast is a little tricky. Last night the clouds and humidity kept the temperature from dropping much in Lubbock, while it did get to low teens west of town. Tonight we're forecasting a low near 16 in Lubbock, a few degrees colder to the west. Where there is more snow in place, can't rule out a low in the single digits.
There will be some water re-freezing on roads through the night. Please keep this in mind, give yourself extra time tomorrow morning.
TOMORROW: Sunny and cool. High near 45 in Lubbock, wind W/SW 5-12mph. It'll be a few degrees warmer north, where the snow has melted away today.
NEXT FEW DAYS: It should stay mostly sunny through the weekend, with occasional dry fronts moving through. It was great to get the moisture, and we still could use some more in a few days. Unfortunately, the outlook is generally dry at this point.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a complete update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
